Our campaign for businesses coming soon!

Autism Advocacy have three key campaigns, one of which is to work with businesses in Bristol to collaboratively create an Autism Friendly plan of action, in line with their business and staff needs. This plan of action has two aims: creating a more inclusive environment and training staff to anticipate the special needs of their autistic customers.

Based on survey responses to our autism questionnaire, one of the most significant issues that autistic people and/or their families have identified is environments that are not accessible or accommodating. Responses also indicate that this inaccessibility could be due to overstimulation and unfriendliness from the people around them. Autism Advocacy aim to help businesses address these issues through our Workshops for Businesses. We work with management and staff to create, on the one hand, a more accessible environment, and on the other, a more friendly and accommodating atmosphere with information about what it means to be Autism Friendly.

We believe an environment that is inclusive to autistic people’s needs will feel more inclusive to everyone. Get in touch if you are a business that would like to participate in the launch of our Campaign for Businesses!
